Little Eden is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing lifelong care to individuals with profound intellectual disabilities. These homes offer holistic care, therapy, and support to over 300 residents, many of whom are unable to care for themselves.
Komatsu South Africa’s relationship with Little Eden started in 2018 with the donation of a geyser for the hydrotherapy room—a vital facility that supports the physical well-being of residents. Over the years, Komatsu has continued to support the Edenvale branch, which is conveniently located near the Komatsu head office in Germiston.
As part of its commitment to community upliftment, Komatsu staff donates food, nappies, and preloved clothing to the home annually. Beyond material support, Komatsu employees dedicate time each year to volunteer at the Edenvale home, engaging with residents and assisting with the upkeep of the facility. This hands-on involvement reflects Komatsu’s values of compassion, inclusion, and social responsibility.
