Komatsu’s bursary scheme funds and supports students from disadvantaged backgrounds in various scarce-skill fields, such as  finance, law, logistics, supply chain and engineering. 

CareerWise Empowerment Ventures (Pty) Ltd serves as the bursary administrator for Komatsu South Africa. Their role includes managing the bursary application process, monitoring student progress, and compiling impact reports.

In the last year, 30 students received funding, with a pass rate of 97%.
