Komatsu is one of the main sponsors of the annual Foskor marathon that takes place at the Namagale sport centre in Phalaborwa.  The event brings the community together to raise money for various charities in the region, and boosts the economy, directly benefiting street vendors.  More than 2000 runners take part every year, and the event is renowned for its bustling atmosphere that actively engages local businesses and services.
