Child and Youth Care Centre

El-Shammah Home is a Child and Youth Care Centre that takes care of babies from 0-18 months and is accredited by the Department of Social Development Gauteng.

The Mission of the Home is to facilitate a safe and neat home environment where the babies can find a place of love, care, and protection and where they can experience true motherly nourishment physically, spiritually, and emotionally through full time qualified and trained caregivers on a 24/7 basis. 

Situated close to our Head Office, the home is close to our hearts and Komatsu provides on-going support.

Amongst other things, Komatsu has donated a washing machine to the home, and we collaborated with some business partners to install a solar system.  Employees also open their hearts and donate baby food, nappies, clothing and toiletries and volunteer their time to do maintenance at the home.
