The 14HM27 low seam continuous miner is capable of cutting seams between 1.4m and 2.5m, making it ideal for the local market's low-seam mining conditions. It is optimized for coal with open throat, new traction reducer and high installed horsepower, in addition to a geometrical design to ensure the machine's centre of gravity is closer to the coalface. The miner's SmartConveyor incorproates the latest sound abatement technologies to reduce sound ouput while improving maintainability. Underground results show a 45% and 65% noise exposure reduction when compared to a standard machine.
