Komatsu announces exhibiting of construction equipment development center pavilion in KidZania Tokyo

February 26, 2024 -- Komatsu Ltd. (hereafter “Komatsu”) (President and CEO: Hiroyuki Ogawa) and KCJ GROUP  INC. (hereafter “KCJ GROUP”) (President: Michinari Tsumuraya) will open a “Construction Equipment Development Center” pavilion (hereafter “the Pavilion”), with Komatsu as the official sponsor, at KidZania Tokyo, a children’s vocational and social experience facility planned and operated by KCJ GROUP, on March 19, 2024.

At the Pavilion, children are the "Construction Equipment Developer", and after learning the basics, they will develop machines suitable for specific construction sites and use simulators to verify their design.

The equipment that children experience at the Pavilion are used in real life in a variety of applications including large-scale construction works, urban civil engineering, agriculture, forestry, mining, road maintenance, and disaster recovery. Aspiring to bettering the lives of people and enriching society, Komatsu continues to meet the challenge of creating value through development of construction equipment that enable safe, highly productive, smart, and clean workplaces of the future.
 
Komatsu and KCJ GROUP hope this Pavilion will be an opportunity for children to learn about construction equipment and its role in society and discover the fun and excitement of the supporting technologies and innovation.
