Mining Engineering: Mining and the use of heavy equipment to unearth minerals

The heavy equipment used in mining continues to evolve. Among the many factors are efforts toward continuous improvements in safety, reduced costs, developing functionality and integration among existing equipment, working toward more efficient and less energy-consuming mines, and developing lighter vehicles that require less energy to function.
