In a decision that takes to heart the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved, the National Mining Association (NMA) has confirmed it will be postponing MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2020 to September 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
While the exact dates of the 2021 show have not yet been confirmed publicly, NMA has reached an agreement with the Las Vegas Convention Center to move out the show a year and work is now underway to adjust contracts and confirm the details of the rescheduled timing. For more information, please see NMA’s official statement.
“We’re thankful we had the opportunity to stay in close contact with NMA throughout the decision-making process and had the opportunity to weigh in on the potential scenarios, as well as pause our own preparations until a decision had been made,” said Jeffrey Dawes, President and CEO, Komatsu Mining Corp. “The organization has been working so hard to ensure we still have a great show for everyone, but the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved is always our highest priority and we are fully aligned and supportive of this outcome.”
