Komatsu named one of the safest companies in America

Milwaukee, November 9, 2018 — Komatsu Mining Corp. has been named one of America’s Safest Companies by EHS Today, the magazine for environment, health and safety leaders. As one of 13 honorees nationwide, Komatsu was chosen for its dedication to the safety and health of its employees and customers.

As part of its award-winning safety program, Komatsu features innovative practices such as the Stop Work Authority Protocol, which empowers employees to exercise a Stop Work Order if they feel that any person in the vicinity may be at risk.
