Tool teeth are the connection between your mining equipment and the materials, so they’re vital to machine performance. We designed the Kprime tooth system to unlock additional productivity and ease-of-use specifically in mining operations. The system is now standard on new Komatsu excavators and loaders and available for all other brand equipment.

Features

Improved productivity

The design of Kprime teeth have improved penetration of up to 15% compared to previous models and remain sharp over the life of the tooth. Tighter tooth-to-adapter fit. Ten percent stronger design compared to previous models reduces adapter breakage.

Faster change-outs

To make changing parts easier in the field with less risk to maintenance crews, the fastener system is simple, requiring only a quarter turn to lock and unlock the fastener, using only metric size sockets. There are weight markings on each part, and pry slots on each tooth.

Designed for longer lasting parts

Wear material on the teeth and adapter legs are designed to provide a longer life cycle. New tooth design stays sharp and helps direct material away from the adapter to help improve longevity.

Wide compatibility

Can be used on any Komatsu loader, model WA1200 up to the P&H L-2350, or on Komatsu excavators from model PC800 up to the PC4000. Also available for other brand ground-engaging tools and equipment.

Tooth style options

To support performance in different applications and environments, Kprime teeth are available in eight tooth designs for excavators, and four for wheel loaders. A variety of adapters are available to help ensure the right fit.
