Remote Evaporator Unit

Provide your operator a more comfortable cab environment with the LRE3 remote evaporator unit

Designed to fit first generation Komatsu wheel loaders, the LRE3 remote evaporator unit, coupled with the electric mine air RCC or HCRC unit, replaces the side-mount hydraulically driven HVAC system mounted on the outside of the cab.


A modular design — using a pre-charged refrigerant line set with quick disconnects on either end — eliminates the need for a certified HVAC technician during installation or major component exchange. With the system's modularity, major components can be changed out in as little as one hour.



  • Engine life — up to nine percent increase between overhauls when used in no-idle mode

  • CO² reduction — up to 43 metric tons/machine — depending on the application — when used in no-idle mode
