The Komatsu PC9000 is the next class of hydraulic mining excavators engineered for maximum performance in large-scale mining operations. It is available in front shovel and backhoe configuration and can be equipped with diesel engines or electric motors to fit your unique mining application. It is optimized for Komatsu trucks in the range of 240 - 400 short-tons, up to the 980E series, ensuring optimal truck match and high productivity in demanding mining environments.

    The Komatsu PC9000 features optimized repair and maintenance intervals for long-term performance. It includes a slew ring with 60,000-hour lifespan for peace of mind. The PC9000 provides safe, ergonomic access to all maintenance points. Hydraulic filters with 2,000-hour service life reduce interventions. A new Hensley design delivers lower wear. The PC9000 also enables fast and flexible sprocket exchange for longer trackpad lifetime. Additionally, the new oil cooling system requires lower fan drive power and reduces overall costs.

    Komatsu has engineered the PC9000 with a redesigned hydraulic system with double hose routing that helps maintain consistent performance and reduces energy loss. The PC9000 includes a larger radiator cooling surface and optimized fan control system that help maintain low hydraulic temperatures without extra auxiliary energy. It is equipped with a high-efficiency Cummins diesel engine that meets up to Tier 4 emission standards while maintaining excellent fuel economy. Additionally, the PC9000 uses variable swing motors that deliver a higher swing torque, faster swing speeds, and shorter cycle times while maintaining fuel economy.

    The PC9000 is equipped with an optimized, ultra-large 46 m³ or 49 m³ bucket ensuring a 3 -5 pass match for 830E – 980E trucks. The PC9000 is AHS ready for smooth autonomous integration. Its short swing radius supports faster loading cycles and higher hourly production. Higher digging power on the PC9000 results in faster and more effective bucket fills. The new bucket geometry and Hensley GET system on the PC9000 enhance fill performance and uptime. An extended fuel tank on the PC9000 enables a two-shift operation without refueling.

    The PC9000 features a new left-side access door that enables quick and safe evacuation. An ergonomic seat with fully adjustable joysticks provides better machine control and reduces operator strain. A side-by-side operator trainer seat allows for hands-on training. The PC9000 is equipped with two independent air conditioning systems, including a boost function. It also offers a significantly improved noise level inside the cabin at 71 dB(A), along with an advanced air quality system that reduces dust exposure.

    • Komtrax Plus Health Monitoring System features: The Komtrax Plus monitoring system is designed for Komatsu mining equipment to provide real-time and stored information about the operating status of the machine.     KOMTRAX Plus

    The PC9000 features the latest KOMTRAX Plus, providing intelligent data solutions that allow operators to monitor their operation and access all essential machine information directly from the cabin. The information collected by KOMTRAX Plus is transmitted and made accessible through advanced digital solutions. It delivers cost-saving insights, facilitates peak machine performance, and supports proactive as well as preventive maintenance. In addition, the optional Payload Meter (PLM) serves as a measuring tool to identify bucket payload. By displaying the payload immediately, it enables the operator to load trucks more efficiently, reducing loading time by decreasing the number of passes required per truck. The Payload Meter system can be integrated into the KOMTRAX Plus monitoring system, allowing reporting that includes payload history and enhanced data insights. The PLM also supports detailed data analysis and helps managers plan and optimize their fleets.
