Between February 3 and 28, companies with 100 or more employees must report their remuneration criteria and actions to promote diversity and shared parenting, in accordance with the Equal Pay Law. The submission must be made via the Emprega Brasil Portal, under the employers tab. The data collected will be used to prepare the Ministry of Labor and Employment’s (MTE) 3rd Report on Wage Transparency and Criteria.
Regarding this Law - On July 3, 2023, Law No. 14,611 was enacted, addressing equal pay and equal compensation criteria between men and women in the workplace, thereby amending Article 461 of the Consolidated Labor Laws (CLT). Companies with more than 100 employees must take steps to ensure this equality, including pay transparency, anti-discrimination monitoring, reporting channels, diversity and inclusion programs, and support for women’s professional development. The law is an initiative of the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Women's Affairs. For more information, see MTE Normative Instruction No. 6, September 17, 2024 - Official Gazette of Brazil (DOU) - National Press.
