Track link

A bulldozer is required to have more traction force than hydraulic excavators that work with bucket.

There are two types of track links. One is oil sealed and lubricated type and the other is grease sealed type. In both types, the clearance between bushing and pin is lubricated. But oil seal type links last much longer than grease sealed type. The hardness of the track link tread and side-surface improves durability and increases strength against impact load.

On an excavator track dust seals are equipped to prevent sand and soil from entering the gap between track links and bushing and protect grease while it lubricates internal components. For dozer track links (lubricated track link assemblies) seals retain the oil for internal lubrication and keep sand or soil from entering which causes increased wear and shortened life. There are various options for specific designed track links for differing applications and site conditions to promote the best wear life.
