Terms and Conditions

Definition

The entity responsible for hosting the Komatsu Fantasy F1 League (thereafter referred to as “The Promoter”). The Fantasy F1 League (hereafter referred to as the “League”).

Eligibility

  1. The League is open to all Komatsu Group Company employees and their direct family (father, mother, husband, wife, partner, son, daughter), as well as the employees and direct family of any official Komatsu distributor

     

  2. To register for the League, participants will be required to sign up with an email address.

     

  3. The League will open no later than Wednesday March 4, 2026 at 00:01 and will be ongoing throughout the 2026 F1 season.

     

  4. Participants must be a current Komatsu Group Company employee OR a direct family member (father, mother, husband, wife, partner, son, daughter) of a current Komatsu Group Company employee OR a current employee of an official Komatsu distributor OR a direct family member (father, mother, husband, wife, partner, son, daughter) of a current employee of an official Komatsu distributor to be eligible to play and win prizes.

     

  5. All participants must adhere to the Terms & Conditions of the Official F1 Fantasy game: https://fantasy.formula1.com/en/terms

     

  6. Each participant can only submit a maximum of one team into the Komatsu F1 Fantasy League.

     

    Entry Process

  7. In order to qualify for the League, participants must create an account via the League website and agree to these terms and conditions.

     

  8. To be eligible to win a prize, each participant must have completed the Komatsu F1 Fantasy League player registration form, providing details such as their Full Name and Email Address. This form can be found here.

     

  9. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all participants.

     

  10. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries and remove them immediately if the Promoter considers such entries to be in bad faith, fraudulent, illegal, or showing any illegal, immoral, lewd or disrespectful behaviour.

     

  11. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude participants and withhold any prizes awarded if that participant is no longer an employee of Komatsu Group Company or an official Komatsu distributor. In doing so, this automatically excludes anyone who has entered the league as a direct family member (father, mother, husband, wife, partner, son, daughter) connected to that participant.

     

  12. The Promoter reserves the right to exclude participants and withhold any prizes awarded for violation of any of these Terms and Conditions.

     

    Prizes

  13. Across the League period there will be a maximum of 250 prize winners.

     

  14. Participants must be a current Komatsu Group Company employee OR a direct family member (father, mother, husband, wife, partner, son, daughter) of a current Komatsu Group Company employee OR a current employee of an official Komatsu distributor OR a direct family member (father, mother, husband, wife, partner, son, daughter) of a current employee of an official Komatsu distributor to be eligible at the time the prize is drawn/won to claim.

     

  15. At the conclusion of each Grand Prix weekend, the top five scorers will be the winners of a 2026 New Era Atlassian Williams F1 Team cap

     

  16. Five additional players will be selected at random after every Grand Prix weekend to win a Atlassian Williams F1 Team cap.

     

  17. At the end of the 2026 F1 season, the top five scorers during the entire League period will receive additional prizes boasting a higher value than the Grand Prix weekend prizes. These prizes will be as follows: 

    • 1st place = 10-minute virtual meet and greet with an Atlassian Williams F1 Team, a scale model of an Atlassian Williams F1 Team car, and approximately $1,000 (USD) of Williams and/or Komatsu merchandise.
    • 2nd place = 10-minute virtual meet and greet with an Atlassian Williams F1 Team, a scale model of an Atlassian Williams F1 Team driver helmet, and approximately $500 (USD) of Williams and/or Komatsu merchandise.
    • 3rd place = 10-minute virtual meet and greet with an Atlassian Williams F1 Team, a scale model of an Atlassian Williams F1 Team driver helmet, and approximately $250 (USD) of Williams and/or Komatsu merchandise.
    • 4th place = 10-minute virtual meet and greet with an Atlassian Williams F1 Team and a scale model of an Atlassian Williams F1 Team driver helmet.
    • 5th place = 10-minute virtual meet and greet with an Atlassian Williams F1 Team and a scale model of an Atlassian Williams F1 Team driver helmet.

     

  18. Additional prizes will be available throughout the 2026 League period via a variety of prize incentive promotions. Details of these promotions will be communicated via email, Yammer and Viva Engage.

     

  19. The exact prizes that will be awarded to winners will be determined during the League period based on availability from stockists. However, prizes will be related to Komatsu or Atlassian Williams F1 Team or both.

     

  20. There is no cash alternative to the prizes. The prize is also non-transferable.

     

  21. Prizes remain the sole property of the Participant and cannot be transferred (in whole or in part), to any other Participant. Prizes may not be bartered, sold, combined or exchanged with any other promotion.

     

  22. The Promoters will work to provide the prizes within a reasonable time period, but by accepting these terms and conditions, participants confirm they understand that this could be delayed.

     

  23. Any lost prizes due to errors in the delivery addresses provided by the Participant are the sole responsibility of the Participant.

     

    Winner selection

  24. The maximum number of high score prize winners from a Grand Prix weekend is five. If multiple players score the same number of points during a Grand Prix weekend and the top five is not clear, the following tiebreakers will be used to determine the prize winners:
    • The player with the highest number of Atlassian Williams F1 Team drivers/constructors in their team during that Grand Prix weekend is favoured.
    • If the teams in question contain the same number of Atlassian Williams F1 Team drivers/constructors, the player that used the least amount of Chips that Grand Prix weekend is favoured.
    • If the teams in question contain the same number of Atlassian Williams F1 Team drivers/constructors and have used the same number of Chips during the Grand Prix weekend, the player that has the highest total score in the league to date is favoured.

       

  25. The overall top five prize winners selected at the conclusion of the 2026 F1 season will be determined by overall score for the entire League period. If multiple players finish the season on the same number of points and the top five is not clear, the following tiebreakers will be used to determine the prize winners:
    • The player with the highest individual round score throughout the entire season is favoured.
    • If the teams in question have the same highest individual round score, the player with the highest final round score is favoured.

       

    Notification

  26. If a winner does not respond to Promoter within 14 days of being notified of their win, that winner’s prize will be forfeited. The Promoter reserves the right to select another winner to receive such forfeited prize (and that winner will also have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or else they will also forfeit their prize).

     

  27. If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, that winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter shall be entitled to select another winner.

     

    Privacy and Data Protection

  28. Any personal data relating to participants will be used in accordance with all relevant Data Protection legislation and will only be disclosed to third parties to fulfil requirements of the League and further promotion.

     

    Licence

  29. By participating in this League, the winners agree to participate in any reasonable marketing and promotional activities required by the Promoter.

     

    Termination or Changes to the league

  30. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the League or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any Amendment to the Terms and Conditions will be communicated with participants.

     

    Responsibilities

  31. Komatsu and their agents shall not be liable or responsible where the performance or prompt performance of its obligations is prevented or affected by any event beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, acts or omissions of Participants, third parties, industrial disputes, hostilities, political unrest, internet problems, telecommunications problems, computer problems or natural disasters.

     

  32.  Komatsu and their agents shall not be liable or responsible for any consequential, indirect and/or special losses or damages that may be suffered or incurred in relation to the League and/or these Terms and Conditions.

     

    Proprietary Rights to Content

  33. The design and content of the League, any related materials, services and software (including but not limited to text, sound, photographs, graphics or other material continued in any League communications, advertisements or messages, whether by Komatsu, or advertisers or partners are protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents and/or other intellectual property rights and laws and are owned by Komatsu and licensors and their use is permitted only as expressly authorised in writing by Komatsu or as required by law.

     

    General

  34. You are forbidden from using rude or obscene language when naming your team. You are also forbidden from uploading rude or obscene images as your league cover image or avatar image. Should you use rude or obscene language or images, your team name and image uploading rights will be immediately revoked and you may be suspended from playing the game. The Promoter’s decision in this regard is final.

     

  35. Komatsu shall be entitled to have an agent or contractor carry out all or part of the League process on its behalf.

     

  36. Komatsu reserves the right, subject to applicable laws, to disclose to relevant third parties information that Participants have provided, or information that Komatsu has obtained regarding Participants’ account:
    • to agents of Komatsu or its group companies and/or affiliates, including but not limited to independent auditors, consultants or attorneys, sub-contractors and those working for or on behalf of Komatsu;
    • in order to comply with any applicable law, government authority or court orders or requests;
    • to facilitate the administration, monitoring and implementation of the League;
    • for the internal purposes of Komatsu business (including but not limited to assessing and monitoring the League and the way and manner in which Participants participate in the League and identifying or detecting any misuse of the League or breaches of its Terms and Conditions).

     

  37. No purchase is necessary to enter this League.

     

  38. Winners will be notified via the emails they have used to register for this promotion. By registering, you are agreeing to be contacted via your registered email address. Komatsu will also publish results and updates for this promotion through internal communications channels throughout the year, including but not limited to Yammer / Viva Engage.
