Our final logging harvesters deliver high productivity shift after shift while staying agile for their size. A powerful engine, high tractive force, portal bogie and our strongest crane ensure confident manoeuvring and efficient work in tough terrain.
3PS is our innovative hydraulic system that delivers maximum power for simultaneous operations. You can slew, feed and manoeuvre at once, while lower‑power tasks use only part of the system, reducing energy loss and cutting fuel consumption.
Komatsu harvesters offer a premium operator environment with a spacious cab, excellent visibility and an ergonomic seat with multiple adjustments. Cab levelling keeps you comfortable and relaxed, even on steep terrain.
Our harvesters are refined for productivity and profitability with powerful transmission, balanced bogies and the stable Komatsu concept. Energy-efficient parallel cranes and the 3PS hydraulic system deliver strong, simultaneous performance.
Servicing a Komatsu harvester is quick and efficient. Daily checks are done from ground level, with grouped inspection points and easy fluid monitoring from the cab. Automatic calibration and simplified refills ensure smooth, stress-free maintenance.
The choice of head always begins with the conditions faced in the forest. There are all kinds of trees, each of which poses different challenges requiring specialist solutions.
Our broad offering encompasses heads specially designed for particular types of forest and suitable for everything from initial thinning to final logging of the largest trees.
For the 951, you can choose between the following heads: C124, S132, C144, S162E, C164, S172, C202, C202E
The harvester cab has an ergonomic design with many added conveniences to help ensure job satisfaction. It can also be complemented with a wide range of extra equipment, should you want to tailor your workplace to suit your personal preferences. You can see a few of these options below, with more to be found in the brochure.
By the way, did you know that the storage space in the panel behind the driver's seat can be used to cool bottles of drink? Ideal for keeping cool on hot days.
To protect the engine hood from external impacts, we offer an optional hood guard that comes in two versions: standard and reinforced.
The reinforced hood guard attaches to the frame and is made of larger gauge piping than the standard version. This reinforced version can be separated in the middle, so when the engine hood is to be opened, the operator releases the sturdy catch and pivots the two halves of the hood guard outwards to either side.
When adding a standard or reinforced hood guard, the harvester can also be equipped with additional fire safety in the shape of two 9 kg fire extinguishers as well as a rake, a spade and a digging bar.
For a harvester operator, an easily operated crane is important for ensuring a productive working day. With Komatsu Smart Crane, the crane – from the main boom all the way to the tip of the telescopic arm – is controlled with a single, smooth lever movement.
Thanks to the crane’s precision and responsiveness, the operator can easily steer the head where they want it, contributing to a more relaxed way of working. A relaxed operator can keep up a high and steady production during the day and still feel more refreshed at the end of the working day. Advantages that will be seen in both profitability and the operator’s well-being.
Smart Forestry gives you access to a collection of digital services that help make the workplace safe, smart, productive and sustainable - whether you have one or a hundred forest machines. You can keep track of your machines, collaborate with colleagues, and make wise decisions based on facts.
Smart Forestry consists of three different applications, making it easy for you to find the one that suits you and your business.
Smart Forestry Precision uses the latest technology in satellite positioning to determine the machine’s position with an error margin of just a few centimetres. This paves the way for productive and smart work methods where the operator is provided with key information and support to enable informed decisions.
There are several useful functions within Precision, like the ability to create exact, digital fences to mark the borders of a work area or around protected areas. It's also easier to classify stems based on environmental considerations with the stem code visualisation tool.
