New technology, smarter excavators and practical contractor solutions will take centre stage on the Komatsu stand at Fieldays this year, with the company bringing one of its most diverse equipment line-ups yet, from intelligent machine control and compact utility excavators through to heavy-duty loaders built for demanding applications.
JC Nyssens, Komatsu New Zealand’s Managing Director, says Fieldays is a standout event on the calendar.
“We’re proud to be back as it gives us the opportunity to connect directly with contractors, owner-operators and growing businesses who rely on their equipment every day,” he says.
The new PC220LCi-12 will be on display as a reliable, all-round 25-tonne excavator suited to bulk earthworks, civil construction and infrastructure projects. Known for its balance of power, fuel efficiency and operator comfort, the PC220 remains a popular choice for contractors looking for dependable performance across a wide range of applications.
The PC220LCi-12 also features iMC 3.0, the latest version of Komatsu’s Intelligent Machine Control suite, which brings improved in-field design capability and semi-automated functionality, such as autograde assist, 3D boundary control and auto-swing for faster truck loading.
For smaller contractors, Komatsu will showcase its utility machinery packages, designed for a broad range of trades and owner-operators including civil contractors, builders, plumbers, electricians and drain layers.
“Our specially designed utility packages include our smaller excavators, the PC18, PC25 and PC55 and offers competitive pricing, attachment options and availability across all our New Zealand branches for our customers who need a quick, customisable equipment solution,” JC says.
Also on display at Fieldays will be Komatsu’s expanded mid-size excavator line-up, including a new PC138US-11 configuration that does not require AdBlue®.
“We’ve seen strong interest in this machine, and it’s something customers have been asking for a long time. We’re excited to showcase it at Fieldays and provide customers with another option within the proven PC138 range, delivering the same reliability, performance and productivity.”
Tough loaders built for logging environments
For those in the logging industry, Komatsu’s wheel loaders will be on display and are purpose-built for the demands of the sector.
“Our loaders are designed for manoeuvrability in confined log yards and mill sites, with the versatility to handle mixed timber, general duties and variable terrain with ease, plus we can configure the loaders to suit the specific requirements of each site. Speak to our team at Fieldays to see how we can best support your logging operations and equipment needs,” JC says.
“Every one of our models is backed by Komatsu’s OEM engineering standards, meaning every component, attachment and system is rigorously tested, fully integrated, and supported by our nationwide service network,” JC says.
“We’re looking forward to another strong event and encourage anyone attending to come and talk to the team about how Komatsu can support their business – from equipment and technology through to parts, finance and aftermarket support,” JC says.
Fieldays will be held from June 10-13 in Mystery Creek, Hamilton and Komatsu will be at stand D20, you can purchase tickets here - www.fieldays.co.nz
