Mobile Training Simulators

Built in-house, our mobile training simulators use original equipment parts as seen in a production environment for true component diagnostics and fault-finding training. This way learners can interact with actual equipment controls in a safe and realistic environment without impacting production.

• Faceboss 1 Miner in a Box Simulator
  Developed to support our electrical practical training for the Faceboss 1 Continuous Miner, this simulator provides hands-on training in advanced diagnostics, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Faceboss 2 Miner/Shearer Navigation and Diagnostics Simulator
  This simulator offers a standalone user interface for the Faceboss 2 Continuous Miner and Shearer. It is focussed on giving learners hands-on experience in screen navigation, information interpretation and diagnostics.
• 3D/VR Miner Operator Mobile Simulator with BPX and Membrane Remotes
  The Miner Operator simulator supports our practical operator training for the Joy Membrane and BPX remotes. The simulator allows operators to safely use all remote functions on a simulated development panel.
• Longwall 2D Mobile Simulator
  Our longwall simulator uses an archive server to access actual site data; allowing the training to be customised to the customer’s longwall system. It uses 2D visualization for diagnostics as you would from the CME using LIS.
• HFX ICM3 Drill Rig Training Module (DRTM)
  The DRTM is used to enhance our practical mechanical training offering for the HFX ICM3 Bolter. Featuring a range of components including Danfoss valves, feed cylinder, hose manifold and rotation units; the DRTM enables our trainers to provide hands-on practical experience directed at advanced diagnostics, maintenance and root cause analysis. It gives learners the skills needed to safely and productively diagnose, maintain and troubleshoot the mechanical/hydraulic section of the equipment. The DRTM can also be used for operator refresher training using the ICM3 controls.

Longwall Training Simulator Room

For more intensive longwall training, our dedicated Hunter Valley training facility provides a purpose-built longwall simulator designed to give learners ultra-realistic access to the very latest equipment features and software developments. It provides learners an opportunity to interact with equipment controls in a safer and more controlled environment.

The longwall training simulator is fully integrated and offers a holistic training solution for a complete longwall system inclusive of:

• Shearer (including Faceboss 1 control system software)
• Coal Clearance System with RS20s control
• Powered Roof Supports RS20s
• CME-LIS
• Remote Management
• Personal Proximity Detection (PPD)

Customisable to any customers’ software and configuration, the simulator offers training on basic operator functions, Advanced Shearer Automation (ASA), Gate End and Face Automation, Personal Proximity Detection (PPD), Remote Management and electrical component identification, diagnostics and fault finding.
