Our Operator and Technical training covers a variety of underground mining equipment including Development, Bolting, Haulage and Longwall, as well as Automation and Integration.
Operator Familiarisation training is an introduction and familiarisation to the equipment. It allows learners to safely move the equipment in a non-production environment using a training handout as a reference. Learners will gain insight into the overall equipment operation and learn required user maintenance areas. Initially a classroom presentation is conducted, followed by an opportunity to operate the equipment. Techniques covered in the classroom can be practiced on a simulator where available.
Objective
At the end of this course, learners will be able to identify, recall and demonstrate basic safe operational and maintenance functions relating to Komatsu underground equipment.
Course Topics
Operate Equipment training is focused on the equipment in production. Practical and general operational application theories are applied to give learners the skills needed to operate the equipment safely and productively in various working conditions.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to assess, identify and apply optimal operational requirements to operate and maintain the equipment safely according to conditions.
Course topics
This training course is an introduction and familiarisation to the Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulics section of the equipment. It allows learners to identify and respond to faults in Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulics systems using the equipment schematics as a reference. Learners will gain insight into the overall equipment Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulics section and learn required user maintenance areas. Initially a classroom presentation is conducted, followed by an opportunity to identify Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulic components and their functions.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to identify and respond to faults and maintenance requirements in Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulics systems of the equipment.
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting training is focused on in-depth diagnostics, maintenance and root cause analysis. Practical application theories are applied to give learners the skills needed to diagnose, maintain, and troubleshoot the Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulics section of the equipment safely.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to identify, diagnose and rectify the root cause of faults in the Electrical, Mechanical/Hydraulics section of the equipment.
Our operator training is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to operate equipment safely and productively in various conditions; focusing on less downtime, higher availability and more productivity. Courses vary from Familiarisation and Introduction to Production and Reliability Focused Operator training. Courses are designed to up-skill qualified operators in the safe operation and to optimize production of the equipment.
Our Technical training offering embeds basic skills such as diagram reading, component identification, circuit analysis and test instrument use for fault-finding to deal with more advanced problem solving. With True Component Diagnostics and Fault-Finding simulators builds experience through practical knowledge application.
