When you need high productivity and plenty of digging power in confined spaces, our PC138US-11 excavator – now powered by a Komatsu low emission Tier 4-Compliant engine – is the perfect choice. As with all our construction excavators, key components are designed and manufactured by Komatsu to work together in an integrated package. And it comes standard with our Komtrax remote monitoring and location system, backed by our NZ-wide service and support network.
Short tail swing radius of the PC138US-11 allows the machine to work in more confined areas than a conventional machine.
Fuel consumption is reduced up to 9% using a temperature controlled viscous fan clutch and improved engine and hydraulic system efficiencies.
New regulations require the reduction of NOx emissions to one tenth or below from the preceding regulations. Komatsu has deployed a new Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) device for use in the PC138US-11

As the technology of diesel engines has progressed from Tier 3 to Tier 4 Final, design aspects of the engines have been fine-tuned to comply with regulations to cover regulated diesel engine exhaust pollutants.
The result is that these new diesel engines are cleaner than ever before, and in many cases more fuel efficient too. Along with this comes the need to properly manage and maintain these new generation of machines to make sure that operating costs are minimised.
