Together
with a salesman of Komatsu dealer COMEQUIP, we met Mr. Sébastien Blary,
owner of Entreprise de Bâtiments Blary, which operates in the northeast
of France and is based in the vicinity of Lillers in northern France. The company
was founded in 1930 and currently employs 30 people. Its main business activity
is in the construction of individual dwellings, with an average of 40 houses
being built annually.
A Komatsu PC130 hydraulic excavator and PC50MR mini hydraulic excavator
are both extensively used to basically open and close the job site, respectively.
The PC130 prepares the ground and digs the foundations, while the PC50MR enters
the job site when the building is almost done to lay the pavements and prepare
the gardens. A rental machine was used in the beginning for carrying out these
tasks, but the mini hydraulic excavator came to be busy almost every day as the
business expanded. Consequently, Mr. Blary decided to invest in his own machine.
PC50MR Offers the Perfect Fit for the Job
The positive experience with Komatsu and the good relationship with the dealer
have been a driving factor in choosing the PC50MR, which he evaluated to be perfectly
suited to their needs in terms of performance and dimensions. Maneuvering around
the houses, the tight-tail design enables maximum agility in confined areas,
thereby providing total safety for the workers, machine and people nearby. In
addition, operators have been surprised by the perfect controllability and smoothness
of all movements as well as the use of combined functions without affecting the
speed, thus maximizing the efficiency at the job site and the quality of the
result.
Furthermore, the excellent stability and lifting height of the PC50MR
allow the machine to easily position the water tank collectors with weights up
to 2,000 kg (4,409 lb) and capacities up to 5,000 liters (1,321 U.S. gal) without
using the big excavator, which is difficult to maneuver in the gardens.
"With
our PC50MR," said Mr. Blary, "we are able to complete all the jobs
around the house very quickly and precisely. Thanks to its dimensions, the mini
hydraulic excavator is able to move in the tightest spaces with no difficulties
and at the end of the job can be transported quickly to another job site."
All-around Features Make Komatsu Machines the Right Choice
Choosing the machine was largely because of technical characteristics and also
other features have impressed the customer. A key consideration is the high comfort
level due to the roomy internal cab space, which is further increased by the
wide opening sliding door enabling the operator to easily get in and out the
machine. Also, with the tilting cab, extraordinary maintenance can be performed
simply and quickly.
"For the future? I've found the ideal partner for my
job. Komatsu. So there is no reason to look anywhere else!" concluded Mr.
Blary.
