In May 2011, Komatsu-no-Mori (Komatsu GreenPark) opened at the former Komatsu Plant site in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Komatsuno-Mori consists of the KOMATSU Way Global Institute and Techno Training Center, both of which serve as the stage for cultivating global human resources of the Komatsu Group.

Demining Activities

Clearing Landmines and Restoring Communities around the World(PDF 869KB)
Komatsu commenced landmine removal, community reconstruction and other social contribution activities in Cambodia in 2008 in conjunction with Japan Mine Action Service (JMAS), a non-profit organization registered in Japan. Similar activities were introduced in the West African nation of Angola in 2009.

The U.S. city of Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted the 2011 CONEXPO-CON/AGG exposition, globally the largest construction industry show this year with over 2,400 exhibitors utilizing more than 217,391 m2 (2.34 million ft2) of indoor and outdoor exhibit space. Nearly 120,000 registered attendees passed through the massive venue over the five-day show held from March 22 to 26.

When the doors of the INTERMAT 2012 international trade fair closed on April 21, positive reports were already coming in from Komatsu Europe International N.V. (KEISA) facilities around the continent. Overall, the general response was excellent, distributors and customers were enthusiastic, and many new Komatsu machines were being sold.

MINExpo 2012

Making a Splash at a World-Renowned Mining Exhibition(PDF 683KB)
Komatsu was a primary exhibitor at MINExpo 2012 in Las Vegas in the United States. The largest MINExpo in history ran from September 24 to 26. The show attracted over 50,000 attendees with 1,860 exhibitors from over 36 countries. The Komatsu exhibit spanned 2,787 m2 (30,000 ft2) indoors at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Over 70 Komatsu and Modular Mining Systems, Inc. (MMS) employees from around the world spent the three show days with customers answering questions and highlighting the products and services Komatsu offers.
