Komatsu Provides Assistance for People Affected by Earthquake in Central Italy

We hereby extend our sincere condolences to the people suffering from the earthquake which occurred in central Italy on April 6.

The Komatsu Group, under the leadership of subsidiaries in Europe and its local distributor, has begun recovery and reconstruction assistance activities.

Komatsu Europe International N.V., which oversees European subsidiaries operations and Komatsu Utility Europe S.p.A., a production base in Italy, donated 220,000 euros (approximately 28.6 million yen) through the Red Cross.

Additionally, Komatsu's local distributor is lending three units of construction equipment free of charge to provide support to rescue activities in affected areas.

As we monitor local conditions, the Komatsu Group will provide swift and appropriate assistance to reconstruction and recovery efforts in affected areas.
