Komatsu Signs Formal Agreement with BIGRENTAL Concerning Integration of BIGRENTAL

Komatsu Ltd. (President: Kunio Noji) ("Komatsu") announced in its news release of December 11, 2007 that Komatsu had executed a basic agreement with Mr. Chikashi Shike, who was the Representative Director of BIGRENTAL CO., LTD. ("BR") and who owned 42.1 % of the shares in BR, with an eye to integrating BR with Komatsu Rental Japan Ltd. ("KR"), which is a consolidated 100% subsidiary of Komatsu. Komatsu has recently signed the formal agreement with BR concerning the integration of the latter as described in the news release of December 11, 2007.
