Komatsu Group Pledges More than $500,000 to Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

We hereby extend our sincere condolences to the people suffered from Hurricane Katrina which struck a devastating blow to Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama areas in the U.S. on August 29, 2005.

Komatsu Group is providing a $500,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross, a leading group assisting those affected by Hurricane Katrina, and it will match dollar-for-dollar all contributions made by its U.S. employees to the American Red Cross.

In conjunction with Komatsu America Corp., the regional headquarter, and its distributors in North America, Komatsu will continue to assess on an ongoing basis how best to assist in the relief efforts, including redirecting equipment from around the globe.
