Komatsu Industries Corporation Established the Sales Subsidiary in China

Komatsu Industries Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd., has established Komatsu Industries (Shanghai) Ltd. in the city of Shanghai. The new subsidiary sells industrial machinery, such as press machinery, and offer services in order to strengthen Komatsu's industrial machinery business in China.
On February 11, Komatsu Industries (Shanghai) Ltd. held an opening ceremony, which was attended by many guests, such as administration officials and distributors.

The demand for automobiles and other industrial products in China has remarkably increased because of the rapid economic growth there, and domestic manufacturers in China have been actively investing in such production facilities as sheet metal presses. In addition, it is expected that a number of manufacturers there will modify existing press machinery to improve production efficiency.
Until now, Komatsu (China) Ltd., Komatsu's regional headquarters in China, has dealt with industrial machines. The newly established Komatsu Industries (Shanghai) Ltd. has specialized staff to meet the evolving needs of automobile manufacturers and to expand sales, modifications, and service activities for industrial machinery.

Komatsu's Industrial machinery, such as hybrid AC servo presses of Komatsu Industries Corporation and large transfer presses of Komatsu Ltd., have been delivered to many automobile manufacturers in Japan, and highly appreciated in their technical capabilities and quality.
Komatsu Industries (Shanghai) Ltd. will expand sales by offering its accumulated expertise to Chinese customers and their business partners as automobile manufacturers in the United States and Europe. The new subsidiary strives to expand Komatsu's industrial machine business, as well as to contribute to the Chinese and worldwide automobile industries.
